        Mahendra Singh Dhoni, also known as MS Dhoni, was born on July 7, 1981, in Ranchi, Bihar (now in Jharkhand), India. He is the youngest of three siblings, with an elder brother and sister. His father, Pan Singh, worked for MECON, a public sector engineering company, and his mother, Devaki Devi, was a homemaker.
