Sundar Pichai is an Indian-American business executive and CEO of Google's parent company Alphabet Inc. He was born on 12 July 1972 in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India.
Pichai grew up in a middle-class society and a middle-class family and was noted for his academic and cognitive excellence from childhood. He graduated from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, India with a degree in Metallurgical Engineering. After completing his undergraduate degree, he attended and attended Stanford University, where he earned a Master of Science in Engineering and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Pichai joined Google in 2004, where he initially worked on the Google Toolbar and the company's initial web browser, Chrome. He quickly rose through Google's ranks and became Vice President of Product Development in 2008.In this role, he played a major role in overseeing the development of many of Google's most successful products, including Chrome OS, and Google Drive.
